The project of a new modern compact and energy-efficient house for a young family near Kyiv.
Thanks to the implemented energy-efficient design principles and engineering solutions, this house is very economical in operation.

With a building area of 9x9 meters, the house accommodates 3 bedrooms, an office, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, and a living room. This is a full-fledged set of a large house placed in a compact building area. Each space is extremely functional.

The northern part of the house consists of small rooms that are easy to heat. And the south side - large spaces of the living room, dining room, and balcony, connected vertically by an atrium, which will be easily warmed up by the winter sun. In summer, the south-oriented rooms are reliably protected by external blinds.

The house is designed according to the classics of solar houses - full disclosure to the south with cutting off the summer sun before entering the house. The winter rays of the sun freely enter inside, heating the "Trombe wall" - a heat accumulator inside the house in the form of a thick concrete wall.

This wall increases the thermal inertia of the house while blocking the daily temperature fluctuations inside the house. At night, it gives off the heat accumulated during the day, and during the day it cools the premises after it cools down at night. Thus, we create comfortable conditions for living in the house and save on energy carriers by simple architectural techniques without complex and expensive engineering solutions.

To minimize heat losses, the north facade is designed without windows, only small beveled glass planes of the northwest and northeast orientation give light to the bedrooms.

A height of 3 floors creates a sufficient difference in air pressure on opposite sides of the house for natural ventilation of the premises, and the central atrium also helps to circulate warm air, creating an air draft, from the lower floors up and providing standard air exchange in the premises.
